SoundMaker (Micromat) for Macintosh has an effect called Time
Stretch, which can compress or extend the duration without affecting
pitch. It also has an effect called Pitch Shift, which alters the
pitch without changing the duration. Another feature is Pitch Bend,
which does what it says! There are a truck load of effects for
SoundMaker. All the effects do not come with the program, but in a
set of effects created by Mike Norris in New Zealand. Sound Maker was
created by Alberto Ricci, but neither Norris nor Ricci are doing any
developing of SoundMaker as of now, so it is what it is, but for
convenient use it is unbeatable. It is RAM based though, so you need
a lot of RAM to do anything in etxtenso!
