Continuum Contemporary Music 1999-2000 Call for Scores

Continuum Contemporary Music is seeking scores to be considered for
programming. Based in Toronto, Canada, Continuum presents an annual
series of four chamber music concerts.

Our mandate is to promote the music of emerging Canadian
composers, however we are also interested in programming established
national and international composers. All qualified composers scores are
welcome and we will give serious consideration to all that apply.

Requirements:

Instrumentation: flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano, percussion,
(may also include electroacoustics), wind and brass combinations, electric
guitar, up to 8 musicians or any subset of this ensemble.

If interested composers do not currently have scores that fall into these
categories, they are encouraged to submit the chamber music they do have,
as, in addition to programming already existing works, Continuum commissions
new work on the strength or a composer's general output.

Deadline: deadline for materials is November 22, 1999.

Age/Nationality: There are no age or nationality restrictions, however we
are especially committed to presenting new works by emerging Canadian
composers.

Submission Instructions:

Please include a cassette tape, DAT, or CD of performances if available.

Scores and recordings should be clearly labeled with:
composer's name
instrumentation
date of composition
duration of the work

A brief curriculum vitae is desirable.

Return of materials: Please include a self addressed and stamped
Envelop, if return of the materials is required, in the case of
non-Canadian entries, please include funds sufficient to cover postage.

Please send scores, tapes and C.V to:
