En Red O. Soundscape
The competition for works related to Soundscape is now open.

En Red O is preparing three days of reflection on Soundscape in the Mirador
of the Centre de Cultura ContemporÓnia de Barcelona, on 10, 11 and 12
November 1999.

The results of these three days will be made into an audio CD-ROM including
the theoretical contributions and extracts from the works programmed.

Three chill-out sessions are planned, one every day, between 11.00 a.m. and
7.00 p.m., providing a platform for works produced from materials related
to some aspect of the Soundscape of the creators' environment. The
chill-out sessions will be devoted to the Soundscapes of Barcelona and
World Soundscapes (other cities and environments).

Theory-based meetings will also be held every day, between 7.00 and 9.00
p.m., looking at Soundscape's relations with the City, the Environment and
Sound Art, with the participation of guest personalities.

As of early October, extracts of the works selected will be on show at:

Works of all aesthetic tendencies will be welcome.

The last date for reception of works is 30 September 1999. They must take
the form of data CD-ROM with AIFF, SND (Mac) or Wave (PC) files
- 16 bit, 44.1 KHz, CD-Audio and DAT.
