Upcoming events at McGill, presented by the Music Media and Technology group.

Faculty Recital Concert: Zack Settel and others
        Featuring live-interactive electroacoustic music

Montreal Visit: Double bassist Robert Black for Master class, Lecture,
and concert performance.

All the events above will take place at McGill University's Faculty of
Music, 555 rue Sherbrooke west.

About Robert Black:

Robert Black is known for his wild theatrical and movement-related music
performances as well as his innovative inclusion of current music
technology in performance. He will be in Montreal from March 14-16. Below
are the events planned around his visit:

This event features a demonstration of contemporary methods of instrumental
playing/music making and a presentation of double bass performance with
live signal processing, MIDI and computers. Participants will have
hands-on playing experience with the electronics (defined in Max/MSP).

Approaches and Techniques
Black will illustrate his lecture with sound/text examples from
the literature, as well live interactive examples (including some from
Zack Settel's piece, Taudrium) using Max/MSP
