>I hear amazing music in my dreams
>But I forget it as soon as I wake up.

Reminds me of a story someone like Horace Silver told. Apparently he was
always dreaming amazing jazz tunes, but then forgot them when he woke up. A
friend suggested that he make himself get up and go to the piano to
transcribe these tunes.

One night he was dreaming the most beautiful tune, a melody so refined and
delicate that he remembered his friend's advice and went downstairs to the
piano, where he carefully picked through the notes and transcribed them
onto some manuscript. When he finished he returned to bed.

The next morning, he went downstairs to return to his tune. He started
playing through his tune, but after the first few notes he realised he had
heard it before.

He was playing Misty...

The moral of the story? Be careful what you wish for...
