Exactly, and we have beem surprised when making beam-forming (like for the
Yamaha YSP800) to fire sounds over the back walls of the room. Very convincing.
When sweeping the beam over the max and minimum values, we really get the
widest panning I ever heard. Our beam-former (6m wide array) was however mostly
effective for low-frequency. Thw Yamaha thing seems designed for high-
mid-freq.

Again, achieved with very few devices, 8 or 16 loudspeakers, soundcard and
Max/Msp.
