The red/purple mix can't be correlated to a wavelength, and won't be found
coming out of a prism. The other colours can be, and will be.
This isn't much like the octave, for reasons that are probably obvious.
However - that doesn't mean your eyes are any good at seeing colour. See
e.g. illusion 3:
(I didn't believe this was real, so I downloaded it and checked colour
values in Photoshop. It really is genuine.)
