Oh, that reminds me of something: "The Insect Musicians" by Graeme Revell.
It's been a long time since I heard it, but I remember it as be =ing quite
rhythmical, at least in parts. It was made by manipulating the sounds of
real insects, I believe with a Fairlight.
I also did a piece, inspired by and including the sound of many crickets,
called "From a Window - 1a.m." It is available at sonus.ca.
