You can apply to take the course offered at the Universite de
Montreal through the inter-university agreement, or a MAX/MSP course
in the robotics area of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
I am quite aware of what you mean about "independently wealthy", as I
started to work for a living at the age of 9 and worked 16 - 25 hours
per week through most of my undergraduate years. (I worked more
during my Masters.)
