A reward is the feeling you get when you predict a happenstance in a
piece. It may make more sense if it refers to the feeling you get when
something happens that could have been predicted, or perhaps something
is recalled that is often recalled... a sense of nostalgia.
Truthfully, I'm not sure.
I'm using Reward to mean a feeling or quality of an instance that when
accumulated results in predictability, boringness, and/or comfort.
I'm using Surprise to mean a feeling or quality of an instance that
when accumulated results in a feeling of innovation, freshness, and/or
discomfort. Maybe even coldness.
I'm a very aesthetic thinker if there's such a thing.
