In any case, my only point was that restricting junk email, or moderating an
email list, has nothing to do with restricting free speech. I'm not
suggesting changing the list, just hoping that everyone can exercise some
discretion before hitting 'send'. Otherwise the mountain of off-topic emails
will lead (and have led) a lot of people to abandon the list, people who
might be valuable contributors.

To reiterate, my comments were not about Sylvi or any other individual
