dear CEC Conference

i would like to apologize for th bad chick'n & nasa jokes. is it
possible to change th dynamic of th posts by suggesting a good ol'
electroacoustic hockey game between NASA and a few rowdy Canadians /
International Composers ? might not be a bad idea, if it's interactive,
cause Miriam and my tea party is only so interactive . How about
inviting folks from Corner Gas, Kids in th Hall or th Red Green Show or
Everyone Hates Chris ? Kind of like Kalvos&Damien's Komposer Kombat (2)
... we could call it Kanadian Komposers Hit th Ice Running & Invite
(incite) the World ... or something of th sort.

i'll cut back on th dis.abled jokes (if you do) as they are not really
part of th EA Xperience (for most) and tend to go o'er most people's
heads like cool sounds from NASA with their sound field being in space /
time. Everyone is dealing with their own or others dis abilities and day
jobs / studies / composing. It is an uphille struggle and that is why i
am rehearsing/practising for th downhile wheel chair race, since i've
already done 'Stand Up'. O, and there's a team to give th abled bodies
composers a run for th gold, th WHEELieFunTeam
...http://www.disabilityfoundation.org/VAMS/index.html .. WHEELS on ICE
... where i really will have to learn to 'sit down' and moderate ..

i just need to learn when to (not) ramble like a miniatrue train that
goes round / round like a Gamelen Emsemble, eh ? if it don't relate
directly to th topic of EA .. i won th Marcia Award for Electroacoustic
Arts at SFU 1999. Marcia had Cancer ... and was a great scientist /
researcher ... i can only hope to be so brave :-) (emoticon means happy
to be alive :-)

thanks and best, sylvi macCormac
