Dear Friends,

Since everyone is notifying the group about activities, I’ll continue with
the fact that I have received ASCAP Standard Awards every year since 1987.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra will record my music URBO TURBO (Urban
Turbulence) in November, and my orchestra music DARK WATERS OF ELBA will be
performed by a Romanian Orchestra in Elba, Italy in December. Both the recording
and performance will be conducted by Jeffrey Silberschlag.

Silberschlag, who has recently conducted in China, conducted a different
version of URBO TURBO, under the title SPIRIT OF AMERICA, during the Riverside
festival in southern Maryland, 3000 people in attendance.

The Dark Waters performance will be during a Napoleon conference.

The bad news: Tonight, October 10th, was to be the premiere of a new version
of Dawn’s Journey, in memory of Dawn Culbertson, with live piano and CD at
Goucher College. Unfortunately, the pianist, Ruth Rose, is sick and had to
postpone the presentation. Hopefully we’ll get a second chance another time.

The good news: At Goucher, Merrick Hall, 7:00PM., I’ll substitute some of
my electroacoustic music which most of this audience will not have heard and
does not require a live performer.

My sincere best wishes to all of you in your endeavors,

Vivian
