Position Assistant Professor
            (Full-time, tenure-track appointment)

Application Deadline Review of applications will begin October 14, 2005.

Qualifications Required: Ph.D. or D.M.A. in Composition (or the
equivalent) with a strong theoretical or historical base; successful record
of performances, publications, and commissions; competency in hd
recording/editing, algorithmic composition/performance, live processing,
programming, web design, notation and sequencing programs. Desired:
collegiate teaching experience.
Responsibilities Teach private composition lessons, both acoustic and
electroacoustic, to graduate and undergraduate majors; teach electroacoustic
music techniques and composition seminar in support of the composition
program; teach coursework in the subject areas of music theory and/or
history; maintain the electroacoustic music studio; support the integration
and use of appropriate technology in all curricula.

College of Performing
Arts at Roosevelt University, The Music Conservatory offers undergraduate
and graduate performance
programs in all instruments and voice, as well as programs in music
education and the scholarly
disciplines. The Music Conservatory has a faculty of 25 full-time and over
90 adjunct instructors,
including more than 25 members of the Chicago Symphony and Lyric Opera
Orchestras, and a current
student enrollment of 380.
