Just a followup: For me, it was about how an out-of-fashion approach was
being set up, tortured, and knocked down to help make a philosophical
point. It's easy to abuse the démodé, and 12-tone work has taken quite a
beating recently, with many of its practitioners run in fear of being
stamped with the mark of the dodecaphon. If that wasn't your intention, I
apologize.
