Excellent advice! And don't worry about how you're going to use
them...just go for whatever appeals to your ear or seems
interesting--build a library. Use different mics and settings. Get
close. Stand back. Later when you listen you'll be pleasantly
surprised at all the neat sounds you didn't "hear." Uses will suggest
themselves.
