I have to offer deep apologies for a misstatement. Ouch. I meant to write
Milton Babbitt, not Morton Feldman. What was I thinking? (And what could it
have meant?) Babbitt's the ultimate used car salesman of new nonpop -- a
lovely & funny guy, but ya gotta watch out of that warranty.
