I think Feldman has been influential in the UK; Many composers have bought a
used car from Feldman and still drive them to this day; granted, not as
influential as the 'Birtwistle off-road-one-wheel-drive' but, very economical
and superb mileage. Feldman also peddled a line in exquisite rugs and his
after sales service was excellent.
As for Boulez, alas, a week is a long time in politics.
