I use the elemental audio Eqium EQ and Neodynium compressor. The
philosophy is versatility and control in addition to good sound. I
really don't know how they compare to other stuff... sound great to
me, but the versatility is great. And if you haven't seen neodynium,
you need to check it out. Multiple layers of compression. It is a huge
innovation in compressors.
