I would like to thank the number of people on this list who over the
years have continued to gentle prod and remind those of us who are in
a position to forget, that life can be very very different.

For those of us who spend many hours every week, or every day looking
after the immediate life needs of others, this is 'well-known'. Did
you know that while the concert hall is wheel chair accessible, the
'automatic doors' for the outside do not stay open long enough to
allow many motorized wheelchairs to negotiate them without problems?

And that door at the top of the ramp? You can't reach the handle and
open the door to let you go through (with your walker) if you can't
use your right hand. ... and that door has a closer which a person
with significant paralysis from a stroke doesn't have the strength to
open ... and, that car parked next to the ramp on the sidewalk, and

and ...
