Which means 2,000 - 3,000 in Canada. This translates into 150 - 250
in Montreal. Looking at the new music concerts in Montreal over the
past 15 - 20 years, it might be possible to find 150 - 250 names of
composers who have had a work performed. There are probably 30 who
have had more than 10 works performed more than twice, and a handful
and a half who can count more than 5 performances of several works.

There are a number of major Canadian composers who have had 5
performances because the work was commissioned by a coalition of
orchestras.
