OSCILLATIONS FESTIVAL OF ELECROACOUSTIC MUSIC, ACADIA NOV. 18-20

Announcing OSCILLATIONS 2005
A Festival of Electroacoustic Music in Atlantic Canada
Wolfville, Nova Scotia
November 18-20 2005

OSCILLATIONS 2005 is a unique opportunity to take in what's happening
in the exciting world of contemporary electroacoustics.

This year, our special guest artist is ROBERT NORMANDEAU, one of
Canada’s most celebrated electroacoustic composers. Dr. Normandeau
will present his own compositions in concert, and lead workshops with
participants from across the region.

Other performers will include Quebec sound sampler DIANE LABROSSE
together with sound artist W.L. ALTMAN and cellist Norman Adams;
Halifax new music vocalist Janice Jackson; composers from the
Atlantic region, and local rock-based electronica.

The principal performance venue, featuring an immersive multi-speaker
sound system, is Harvey Denton Hall at Acadia University. Additional
performance venues will be announced at a later date.
