Yes, Jo Thomas's work explores a kind of 'organic glitch', based on gesture,
texture and rupture. Her work rarely uses loops. As far as I know, her style
evolved completely independently from 12k et al. I've been hearing a lot of
glitch in recent EA, used in very different (non-loopy) ways- works by Seth
Ayyaz, Lampros Pigounis and Owen Green come to mind, just to mention recent
music from London, but I also heard a lot of glitch from younger Canadian
composers in the most recent Jeu de Temps project.
