I have to disagree with you about Reaktor. It's too much of a building
kit to have a distinctive sound. Oh sure, if you only use the most
popular 5 or 6 ensembles that come with it, yeah, you'll sound like a
lot of other people who skim the surface, but if, OTOH, you use many of
the nearly 2,000 ens that are found in the online users' library,
there's no way you'll have a recognizable sound. It's not only an fx
processor like GRM or MetaSynth., but offers probably all the synthesis
techniques, along with being a sampler, drum machine, etc. Try
randomizing patches on Skrewell and tell me that you will sound like
others using the same ensemble.
