I'm lucky enough to be delivering a unit in 'Performance Technology' next
year; basically, me and my students mucking around with Max/MSP, some iBooks
and a Kroonde Gamma, and coming up with some sort of performance at the end
of the year. (Ok, there's more to the unit than that, but that's the general
What I'm looking for is works to study; hopefully, video/DVD/website/printed
documentation of performance pieces which have used realtime software
(doesn't have to be Max/MSP) together with sensors (or not),
voice/instruments (or not) and maybe visual or site specific elements? Not
necessarily art-music/ea, could be coming from an experimental/pop or
performance art background.
Any thorts? Be particularly interested in very recent work, and stuff which
is actually, er, good, rather than just technically swish.
