Subject: Call for Participation - SEAMUS 2006

Call For Music and Video Works

SEAMUS, the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States,
invites submissions of electro-acoustic music with and without
performers, works with video, soundscape compositions, and other
types of related works for its 2006 National Conference. Composers
are invited to submit up to two works for consideration for
presentation. Student compositions are strongly encouraged. Please
download the SEAMUS 2006 Submission Form and follow the instructions
for submitting works at: www.seamusonline.org

Any current SEAMUS member, or any citizen or legal resident of the
United States may submit works to the conference. A maximum of two
pieces may be submitted. The host institution will pay licensing
fees through BMI and ASCAP. Neither SEAMUS nor the host will pay
rental fees for performance materials. Composers submitting works
will supply scores and tapes that are required for performance at no
cost to the host institution or SEAMUS.

Submissions by SEAMUS members are free of charge. Submissions by
citizens or legal residents of the US who are not SEAMUS members are
subject to a submission fee of $15 per item. All submission fees are
non-refundable.

Preference will be given to works with durations of 10 minutes or
less.

SEAMUS uses an anonymous adjudication process for all music, video
and paper submissions. To maintain the integrity of the anonymous
peer review process, all scores, technical descriptions, program
notes and media must not have any personal identifying information.

Composers and authors whose work is selected for inclusion to the
conference are required to attend the conference.

Deadline for Submissions: Friday, October 14, 2005 (received)

composition or video work.

SEAMUS, the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States,
invites paper and panel presentation submissions relating to the 2006
National Conference theme of Electro-Acoustic Music: Arena for
Action and Performance. Submissions are also welcome on other topics
related to computer music and intermedia composition, human-computer
interaction, software development, aesthetics, and history.

Any current SEAMUS member, or any citizen or legal resident of the
United States may submit to the conference. Authors may submit a
maximum of two papers/panel presentations.

SEAMUS uses an anonymous adjudication process for all music, video
and paper submissions. To maintain the integrity of the anonymous
peer review process, papers or panel presentation proposals must not
have any personal identifying information.
