Its fun to be a turntablist :)

Latest in Turntable technology:

The scratchophone: Looks like a drum, but you actually hang it on your shoulder, and scratch records on the way: http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000337041079/

The groovecaster: Vestax is comming out with a "vertical", thats right, "vertical" turntable that you can hang like a guitar and the extended arm would have the controls and crossfader for cutting of the sounds. Another portable "scratch" device. http://www.scratchophonic.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=21

Light activated phonositar: It has 4 principal strings and 23 sympathetic strings in 4 groups. The edge of the instrument houses embedded light sensors which control both the turntable and the sympathetic strings. Gesturing over the instrument will turn the record player on and off, forwards and backwards, and will strart small motors strumming the grouped strings to create different drones or chords, which can be played alone or in combination. It is an instrument which creates a sonic and visual language through its performance. http://www.cpcarts.org/kitundu/instruments.html

Scratch cabasa: kind of funny (not really a turntable, but its scratch!!)http://www.marcandella.ch/WG8/RhythmTech/MountedPercussion/H_MountedPercussion.htm

The Freq. Factory : The worlds first portable DJ scratch instrument! http://www.opusfreqlabs.com/factory.html

Vinyl Killer VW van: This you probably know, or maybe not :P http://www.scratchophonic.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=7

and finally, the famous one and only QFO: http://www.scratchophonic.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=2

enjoy :)
