Which version of ProTools/hardware? Presume you mean Tiger (10.4) by
latest MacOS? Don't believe the initial release of ProTools 6.9 is
yet compatible with OSX Tiger - check here for more details
I doubt therefore that MSP would yet be able to talk to ProTools in
Tiger via Digi Core Audio setup, though I'm keen to try the new Core

The latest PT 6.9 update, after a cursory glance through the Digi
User Conference (Mac TDM section), has thrown a few peoples machines
out of kilter, especially Command 8 and HUI users.
