yes the telinga has an optional/ removable parabolic, necessary if you want
the mic to have directivity. I missed that you were looking for mics with
cardiod pattern.

Somethings you might want to consider...
- weight, if u are going to use it hand held (the rodes is around 1 lb)
- sensitivity, depending on the location sounds you want to capture
- output impedance

Remember that, just like speakers, there not a mic that doesn't color the
sound, so it's a matter of budget and... subjectivity!
