I ground the turntables to the main mixer, it seems this is the solution I was looking for.

Live, I've run gutted and otherwise modified turntables through effect from
a Radio Slack "Stereo Phono Pre-Amplifier." The old part number is 42-2111
but they seem to have re-introduced it. See

25 for details. With a properly grounded turntable, it's generally quiet.
