Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone could recommend any freeware or shareware
audio/music software, that might be appropriate for students of the
elementary or middle school age level. It should be in context of exploring
music and technology.

The constraints are that it has to be free, and it should be for PC. And
what is meant by "appropriate" for elementary school students, is that it
should be very simple to use, reliable, and for the most part graphically
based software. It could be anything from an abstract sound exploration
type program, to a reliable freeware audio editor, to a simple
sequencer/recording software, to simple notation titles or soft synths.

Any suggestions would be helpful, either in terms of software or anything
else related to this activity.
