Musically, not a helluva lot. The talk may have been sweet but there was
precious little doing. Part
of the trouble was that the international style of modern music
prevalent during the period of my schooling
precluded any kind of technical criticism. It was an education more in
esthetics than in the kind of stuff that
I wanted to study, which I'm now studying.
