We've got a lab full of M-Audio FireWire 410s and they're quite good. I
think you can get them for about £350 GB Sterling.
They also come with Live Adapted and Reason Adapted editions which you may
like to play with.
As I say, we have 12 of them which we use with Logic Pro 6.4 and they work
well most of the time. They're all on G5 2.5Ghz Dual Processors with tonnes
What kind of computer are you speccing for and any preference of Firewire or
We also have 20+ M-Audio Ozone keyboards which have an audio interface on
them too but we don't really use those except for the keyboard + MIDI
aspects so I couldn't really say what I think of those.
In general, I prefer FireWire to USB, mainly because it has a faster bus
speed, but I know a lot of people prefer USB.

i've gotta second the vote for M-Audio - had nothing but good results
from my Quattro - which is a few years old now, and they have a lovely
Firewire thing available....
