The ‘Scambi’ Project

This AHRB funded symposium will concentrate on the relationship between
the ‘open’ form and electronic music of the Belgian composer Henri
Pousseur.

Friday February 18th, Goldsmiths College Music Department, London, UK.
Time: 11.00-17.00. Free admission.

The ‘Scambi’ Project symposium is organised by Dr John Dack,
Post-doctoral Research Fellow (Middlesex University) as a prelude to
‘Sonic Interactions’ Conference at Goldsmiths College, Saturday
February 19th and Sunday February 20th.

Programme

11.00-11.15 Dr John Dack (Sonic Arts, Lansdown Centre for Electronic
Arts, Middlesex University) Welcome and Introduction to the project.
11.15-12.45 Prof. Henri Pousseur. Presentation by Prof. Pousseur on his
experiences in the electronic studios of Brussels, Cologne, Milan.

13.00-14.00 Lunch

Presentations on Henri Pousseur’s electronic music and the ‘open’ work.
14.15-14.45 Dr Craig Ayrey (Goldsmiths College)
14.45-15.15 Dr Pascal Decroupet (Université de Liège)
15.15-15.45 Dr John Dack (Middlesex University)

16.00-17.00 Concert
Caraïbes Asiatocéaniennes (from Voix et Vues Planétaires)
