a few days ago I watched on-line videos of the
MIT spam conference (links now lost). MIT has been
very groundbreaking in this way -- entire courses online
(I watched a dozen of the "structure and interpretation of
computer programs" videos that were made for HP, now freely
available). It's clear that this is how ALL things will go. The sound
and music computing papers are all online -- http://smc04.ircam.fr/ --
the great missing link at present is ICMC. I also wonder why
CMJ is not freely on line, like MTO. Would it not serve everyone
better?
