Indeed, but you don't have to work at a university to have this problem. :-)

Well, Exeter was one the examples I mentioned a few emails ago. Music - no
business angle, no funding, no future in it. Allegedly.

Depressing, isn't it? I suppose the alternative would be to go vocational
and start turning out happy little sound designers for the ad world. Or
maybe MTV.
