Right. However, the study which is the topic of the book was done in the
first half of the 1980s. The world has changed since then. Ircam has changed
an awful lot since then. In a word, the book is interesting as a document on
historical times now extinct. Sorry, Elizabeth, I haven't read your review,
as I don't subscrive to CMJ any longer (to much engineering stuff for my
taste). I'll make sure to read it, though. Thanks for the reference.
