I used to build those presented in a (now defunct?) magazine called "The
Audio Amateur". Good designs and not expensive if you have time.

Do you specifically want 4- or 8-channel amps, or will stereo pairs do?

If stereo pairs are okay, I have had very good results with Samson amps. I
have four Samson Servo-120 amps which are compact and clean. They cost me
about $120 each on sale
