I can think of at least - uhh - two stores that still have a computer music
I can understand a reluctance to call work 'computer music', but it doesn't
make any sense to me to pretend that categories of style and performance
practice don't exist, when they clearly do.
It would be a much more interesting world if there were more cross-over
between categories, among audiences, works and creators, but that doesn't
seem to be how it works in practice. I don't think it's possible to start
making that happen until you have some idea of how all the different
ghettoes work and what everyone involved expects from them.
