Going abroad abroad

Hi all,

I am looking for advice on how to get more opportunities to present my
work abroad. How do people get their work out there in concerts, festivals
and venues internationally? How do people afford travel costs? Are those
covered by the concert organizers or would I have to cover those myself?

My recent work has been kind of focussed in what I guess you would call
"glitch", but more recently, my work has incorporated soundscape
recordings as well. I have mp3's up at www.sfu.ca/~pthomson/ . I don't
"perform" as such, but would be interested in presenting my work in
acousmatic settings and could be persuaded to present my work while in
front of an audience.

Thanks in advance for any advice. Email me offlist unless you think your
words could help others on the list.

Phil
