I won't argue - I'm not saying it's good or bad as such. But I still think
it's Art Music, and fits into that category very neatly.

I was wondering if it was possible to make music that doesn't just defy
categories but makes absolutely no reference to them. It's the opposite of
the post-modern idea of ironically (or perhaps cynically) sampling
everything to the extent that all of it becomes meaningless.
