Although this is happening in Toronto, it is still worth noting that
you have the option of making culture an issue in this election,
regardless of your location. You could even launch your own local
debate on the subject.

At least Artists can be relied on to always keep their promises.

>Dear ARCCO Members and Friends, please read, post and circulate:

On Wednesday June 16th AT 9 PM in the Ballroom at the Gladstone Hotel
(1214 Queen W. at Gladstone), the Toronto Media-Festivals Network,
ARCCO, Toronto Arts Council Foundation, Canadian Conference of the
arts, ACTRA and Charles Street Video are sponsoring a "Debate on
Cultural Policy".

Please plan to attend this event. We are facing a critical election
in terms of support for culture in Canada and it's important to make
sure our collective agenda is highly visible for all the candidates.
Candidates from the 3 major political parties will be there to
address concerns directly related to the work that you do - from the
work that you show to way that you show it, to whom you are allowed
to show it and the support you receive in doing so.
