goedemorgen (voor ons wie Nederlands praten - hello Dennis ;)

re taking pictures and snapshots...

made me think on tangents: i compose - and even think - visually.
i dont think in sentences primarily, i think in pictures, which
sometimes i translate into sentences and sometimes those who are close
to me just unnderstand - or people think of them as a better description
than words, an analogy or parable.

i also compose visually. every single one of my pieces has begun with a
shape, which develops into sound and then structure.

so i can understand your need to print out a composition.
i loved printing scans of sound analysis too. ok, hands up here who
/hasnt/ printed a picture of their cat meouwing? ;)

i used to annoy the sh*t out of everyone at Goldsmiths because when i
needed to structure a long piece, i would print out every page from
ProTools, sellotape it together and stick it on the back wall of one of
the studios, and begin making annotations.

it works for me. now i'm at home, in my own studio, and i have Photoshop ;)

cups of earl grey tea,

mC~

Lose yourself in the music, the moment, you own it, you better never let it go,
You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow this opportunity comes once in a lifetime.
