Bruce has worked on this a little, although I don't believe there is
much "improv" built into the computer parts of his Praescio series of
pieces. I think there is improv on the part of the human performers
rather than the computer. Probably worth checking references on papers
he has published and checking with him on his compositions.

Don't overlook Robert Rowe. He has done some work in this area as well.
