Damon Holzborn sent me the web archive URL and I was reading where somebody
made a list of who was doing this kind of algorithmic improvisation. It's
true that this isn't a large list, but one might want to add the Canadian
composer Daniel Scheidt, who was a student of the late Vancouver-based
Martin Bartlett. One could also consider the saxophonist Steve Coleman,
who developed a piece at Ircam recently that operated along these lines,
Christopher Dobrian at UC Irvine, and Francois Pachet.
