I am happy to tell you that there is a wave field synthesis system here, hidden
in montreal. The system include an 88 dense loudspeaker array. This is the only
WFS system which have been in Americas and it must go back to Fraunhofer in
three weeks. I am also happy to tell you that we are only three to know to
system. And I am currently in Montreal.
For this reason I must perform some acoustical measurements on the system before
he leaves. The physical experiments start tomorow and they are very long.
So, I need some help to move a panel loudspeaker and some desk.
What I nice occasion to invite some CECers to the see/hear the system. Here is
my suggestion, I will receive here the three first people in montreal to reply
privatly to this email (sen it to Philippe-Aubert.Gauthier@USherbrooke.ca and to
email@example.com). Please give me a ---phone number--- so I
will call the three lucky tomorow morning. Also, please be serious since my PhD
experiments rely on this so simple handy help. I will be able to run some demo
and discuss the system for one hour and for lunch time. Moreover you will see a
simple microphone antenna for sound field measurments. Since I have to rush for
my experiments, I will not be able to give more time. On the other hand, I may
introduces some idea for a presentation which I should do later in 2004 in
Please apologize for my "three" limit, but you have to know that the system is
not that big and moreover I am just a student ... so I am not sure to have the
right to show the system ... since his presence in montreal seems secret.
This is an "illegal" openning in the university laws ;) please keep the secret.
Thank you, I am waiting your reply and confirm only by phone.
Please apologize if you got no reply for ... again rushing in time.
