Steven Winikoff

By day, a mild-mannered (not really, but that's the cliché :-) Unix system administrator, in the Systems and Software Group (part of the Department of Instructional and Information Technology) at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

By night and on weekends (when not spent in the machine room :-), many and varied other things, most of which I don't plan to tell you about (no offense :-).

Professionally speaking, I'm the manager of the group responsible for the care and feeding of Unix systems belonging to or operated by IIT.

Outside office hours, I still somehow seem to end up spending most of my time online. :-)

It might sometimes seem like I have no life, but surprising as it may be, I do. :-) One thing that helps maintain what little sanity I have left is playing clarinet with the Kirkland Concert Band, the 306 Maple Leaf Wing Association Concert Band and, more recently, also the Becket Players "Way Off Broadway" orchestra.

Of course, I do have some other interests as well.

If you'd like to get in touch with me, I probably won't bite. :-) However, as you may have gathered, I tend to be rather busy, so I can't always promise to get back to you promptly (although I do promise to try).
