Getting from the Trudeau airport to downtown:

Flights from North America and abroad land at Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (formerly Dorval Airport), 22 km west of downtown Montreal.

    Taxi:

    Taxis are always available from the airport to the city center. The cost is approximately $32 Canadian.

    Shuttle Bus:

    The Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport is served by a bus service to downtown Montreal. Shuttles leaving the airport can be found at the ground level with departures every half hour on the hour. La Québecoise is the name of the bus company. Look for a white bus, with AEROBUS written in black letters on each side. The fare is $12.00, one way. Buses leave every 30 minutes, from 07:00 to 01:00 on weekdays, . and between 5:00am and 11:30 pm on weekends. The travel time is about 20 minutes.

    There are 4 bus stops in downtown Montreal:
    • Chateau Champlain (de la Gauchetière and Peel)
    • Aerobus Station near Delta Centre-Ville (de la Gauchetière and University)
    • Queen Elizabeth Hotel (René-Lévesque Blvd. and Mansfield)
    • Montreal Central Bus Station (Berri and de Maisonneuve Blvd.)

    To get to Concordia University, downtown campus, you can take the shuttle bus to the Berri Central Bus Station, after which you can take the subway from station Berri-UQAM and get off at station Guy-Concordia. Travel by subway will cost you an extra $2.50 Canadian.

    Alternately, if you don't have much luggage and want to save on the subway, you should get off at the first bus stop in Montreal which is the Chateau Champlain. It is the closest stop to Concordia University's Sir George Williams downtown campus A small map here is able to help you walk from Chateau Champlain to Concordia which might take around 10 minutes.

    Subway:

    You can use the public transit to get from the airport to downtown Montreal.

    From Trudeau airport, you can catch the # 204 East bus (departure hours are given here) at the airport’s departure entrance on the ground level. Get off at Gare Dorval station.

    From Gare Dorval, take the  # 211 East bus (departure hours are given here) which will take you to subway station Lionel-Groulx. From Lionel-Groulx you can continue your trip by subway and get off at station Guy-Concordia. Travel time is approximately 30min, and the whole trip will cost you around $2.50 Canadian.

Driving Directions:

    Directions from Dorval Airport:

    • Take Highway 20 East and follow directions for "Centre-Ville" (Downtown)
    • Take the Ville-Marie Expressway (720 East)
    • Exit the Ville-Marie at Guy and turn right on René-Lévesque
    • Go west on René-Lévesque and turn left on Bishop Street
    • Go north on Bishop two blocks to de Maisonneuve

    Directions from Ottawa:

    • From Ottawa, take Highway 417 East
    • Once you reach the province of Quebec, Highway 417 East becomes   Highway 40 East
    • From Highway 40 East, take Highway 15 South
    • From Highway 15 South, take Highway 720 East (Ville-Marie Expressway)
    • Exit the Ville-Marie at Guy and turn right on René-Lévesque
    • Go west on René-Lévesque and turn left on Bishop Street
    • Go north on Bishop two blocks to de Maisonneuve

    Directions from Boston (Massachusetts):

    • Take Interstate 89 or Route 91 North to the Canadian border
    • Once in Canada, follow signs for Highway 55 North and Highway 10 West
    • Look for signs to Champlain Bridge
    • Cross Over Champlain Bridge
    • Follow signs for University Street
    • Once on University Street, remain on it until you reach René-Lévesque
    • Turn left on René-Lévesque and go west to Bishop Street
    • Turn right on Bishop and go north for two blocks to de Maisonneuve

    Directions from New York:
    • Take Interstate 87 North to the Canadian border
    • Once in Canada, follow signs for Highway 15 North
    • From Highway 15 North, take Highway 720 East
    • Continue on Highway 720 East (Ville-Marie Expressway)
    • Exit the Ville-Marie at Guy and turn right on René-Lévesque
    • Go west on René-Lévesque and turn left on Bishop Street
    • Go north on Bishop two blocks to de Maisonneuve
