Has the USB version of the fastrack been upgraded to USB 2.0?
Hope so....
Check out Presonus FireBox...comes with a reasonable Cubase LE version...(around
400$, firewire, 24bit/96kHz, 4 effects per track, around 258 tracks max) and you
can upgrade to Cubase 4 studio for a fewfewfew dollars.
But if you are looking for Live absolutely, get the full version at an academic
price...its worth it.
Ask Dave McLauglin, the "Live Gourou", and the tallest of all Concordia Ea
students.
Summer cheers to you
