hmm....
imnsho the bottom line is humanity... or at least, thats all we can do....
be human to those around us...
do as we would be done by in the old fashioned way...
which means a lot when you take it to its deepest level...
including ec?ology and not quite so OT because acoustic ec?ology is part
of preserving our human being....

thats the UK governments line as well - there was a campaign last year
to that effect....
otoh, many of my former house-mates were social workers in hostels for
the homeless... i asked their advice as 'experts'...
they too said dont give money (although we all make exceptions...
sometimes you just know...) but suggested offering to buy someone living
on the streets a coffee or a sandwich, or just saying hello... because
these people live all day with people ignoring them, and so 'outcast'...
just a simple hello is enough to allow them to feel human again too..
i've done this, buying a coffee for a girl about my age living on the
streets and had a nice chat, so many people just dont cos they're
afraid, people might be rough and attack them or something... heh people
on the street are just human beings like the rest of us....
and what for a little bit of addiction when its the only creature
comfort you have left? i can understand that.....
(not to mention the number of addicts in posh houses snorting their
coke... addiction is non-discriminatory)

this is most intriguing too....
what are you doing with NASA....
have you looked into SETI?....
you can get a LOT of stats from that... trouble is its pretty heavy on memory (i used it as a method of
testing my overclocking to see if it was stable!)
